Individuals at clinical high risk (CHR) for psychotic disorders have attenuated positive symptoms and a 30% risk for converting to psychotic disorder, usually within 2 years. CHR is defined primarily by the Structured Interview for Psychosis-Risk Syndromes (SIPS), a semistructured interview. An online calculator (NAPLS) to determine risk for conversion requires the SIPS plus neurocognitive testing. To develop a similar prediction model that does not rely on neurocognitive testing, researchers used data on 199 individuals with CHR seeking evaluation (mean age, 20) who were assessed with the SIPS every 3 months for 2 years.
