An estimated 12% of U.S. women of reproductive age have disabilities including functional limitations in vision, mobility, and ability to provide self-care and live independently. Although many of these women are sexually active, data are sparse regarding their use of contraception. In two studies, investigators examined provision of various contraceptive options to women with cognitive and developmental disabilities.
