Bullying is a worldwide problem with long-lasting mental health implications for teens.
The effectiveness of a multipronged school intervention comprising three antibullying and anti-aggression strategies — restorative practices, whole-school engagement, and building social and emotional skills — was examined in a cluster-randomized, controlled trial in 40 secondary schools in Great Britain. Bullying and aggression were assessed using validated scoring instruments at the end of school year 7 (baseline) and school year 10.
