Endoscopic ultrasound fine-needle aspiration (EUS FNA) needles all come supplied with a 10-cc syringe to create negative pressure within the lumen of the needle, theoretically increasing sample size and tissue acquisition. In the current study, researchers retrospectively evaluated the comparative effectiveness of using suction created by a 10-cc syringe, which generates normal negative pressure (NNP), versus a 50-cc syringe, which should produce high negative pressure (HNP), for EUS FNA of pancreatic lesions.
