Despite the established benefit of left internal thoracic artery (ITA) grafts to the left anterior descending coronary artery during coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) surgery, bilateral ITA or multiple arterial grafts (MAGs) have not been associated with a survival advantage compared with single arterial grafts (SAGs) in randomized trials. To learn more, researchers conducted an observational analysis using data from the New York Cardiac Surgery Reporting System on 63,402 CABG surgeries performed between 2005 and 2014.
