Background and Objective

Since the previous guideline from this international expert consensus group was published in 2010, there are new data available, new endoscopic technologies, increasing use of antiplatelet and anticoagulant agents, and multiple other published guidelines. These changes prompted a rigorous evidence-based update of recommendations.
