Guidelines regarding how long to wait to attempt pregnancy after radioactive iodine therapy (RAIT) and thyroidectomy for differentiated thyroid cancer are based on insufficient data; thus, South Korean investigators conducted a national cohort study in women of childbearing age (range, 20–49) to examine pregnancy outcomes at various intervals after completion of thyroid cancer therapy. Among 10,842 pregnancies, 5958 occurred in women undergoing thyroidectomy only and 4884 in those undergoing both thyroidectomy and RAIT. Mean age at conception was 33.
