Sacubitril/valsartan, an angiotensin receptor–neprilysin inhibitor (ARNI), has emerged as an evidence-based treatment for heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF). Whether the outpatient initiation of sacubitril/valsartan therapy has early benefits on patient-reported health status is still unknown. Investigators analyzed the industry-sponsored CHAMP-HF registry to determine if ARNI therapy in patients with HFrEF was associated with changes in scores on the 12-item Kansas City Cardiomyopathy Questionnaire (KCCQ; scored 0–100, with higher scores signifying better health). A ≥5-point change is considered clinically significant.
