U.S. studies of birth outcomes provided more evidence that the optimal gestational age for delivery in low-risk multiparous women is 39 weeks. One U.S. trial at a cancer center concluded that, after gynecologic surgery, prescription of opioids can be markedly restricted without harm — while a second U.S. study revealed a high prevalence of prescription opioid use in women with endometriosis (notwithstanding little evidence of therapeutic benefit in this setting).
