The incidence of ulcerative colitis continues to increase, and newer therapies have been approved for its treatment. The AGA has issued a new guideline based on a systematic review of current evidence that provides recommendations for management of moderate-to-severe ulcerative colitis.
Use intravenous therapy with infliximab or vedolizumab rather than injectables.
