Although medications and behavioral treatments benefit children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), obtaining treatment can be challenging, treatment effects are modest, and risks and adverse effects can be limiting. In a manufacturer-sponsored, randomized, controlled trial, researchers enrolled 348 of 857 screened children to examine the effects of brief daily sessions over 4 weeks of an adaptive video game designed to improve divided attention and provide rewards for performance. The intervention has not received FDA clearance.
