A major class of psychological treatments for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), which includes cognitive therapy, cognitive processing therapy, exposure therapies, and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy. Some other treatments are eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), self-help therapies, counseling, CBT without trauma focus (non-TF-CBT), and combined somatic/cognitive therapies.
