Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) as a potential consequence of influenza vaccination has been a matter of concern among health care personnel and the general population. This concern has led to many studies assessing the risk for GBS after influenza vaccination. Many studies and pharmacovigilance point to the need for further research and continuous monitoring of safety regarding influenza vaccine. This study included all cases of GBS occurring in metropolitan France between September 1and March 31 of each year from 2010 through 2014.The individual's risk period was 1 day after vaccination until 42 days after vaccination. For each patient, a control period lasted from day 43 to March 31 of that year.
