The first reports on the association of COVID-19 infection with cardiac injury are now entering the medical literature. These investigators described consecutive hospitalized patients with laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 from a single center in Wuhan, China, from January 20 to February 10, 2020. The government designated this center for patients with severe COVID-19. Cardiac injury was defined as high-sensitivity troponin I (hs-TNI) above the 99th-percentile upper reference limit.
