A randomized trial has promising results for a nonpharmacologic intervention; however, a larger well-designed trial is required for validation.
To determine if practice of a specific yoga sequence in addition to standard-of-care medical therapy (SoC) is superior to SoC alone in the prevention of episodic migraine, investigators performed a prospective, single-center, randomized, controlled trial. Of 160 patients randomized, 114 patients, evenly divided between treatment arms, completed the 3-month trial. The primary endpoint was change in mean monthly headache days (MMHDs) from baseline to 3 months.
