Dr. Paul Sax recently highlighted how inexpensive rapid home testing for COVID-19 could dramatically reduce new infections and get us back to some semblance of normal life before we have a vaccine. So what's the holdup? A reasonably accurate test with a result returned quickly, he argues in the latest HIV and ID Observations blog post, is far better than no test at all.
