Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)-guided ablation of solid tumors has been performed for several years, but it has not been widely adopted because many endosonographers lack experience with the tools and techniques and are unfamiliar with the efficacy of the procedures. Now, investigators have conducted a meta-analysis of 14 studies involving a total of 158 patients to assess the efficacy of EUS-guided ablation for solid pancreatic tumors, the most common target for these procedures.
