Lumen-apposing metal stents (LAMS) have taken center stage in the world of interventional endosonography. Primarily used to drain and debride pancreatic pseudocysts and walled-off pancreatic necrosis, they have also found fertile ground for their ability to create enteroenteric anastomoses (gastrogastrostomy, gastroduodenostomy, gastrojejunostomy, and enteroenterostomy).
