Millions of individuals suffer traumatic brain injury (TBI) worldwide each year, and many become disabled. TBI increases the risk for neurodegenerative disease such as Parkinson disease, Alzheimer disease, and chronic traumatic encephalopathy. Clinicians need better tools to predict long-term prognosis after TBI.
