Innovative strategies to curb malaria transmission represent an important approach to reducing disease burden. Lethal house lures are insecticide-filled ventilation tubes embedded in eaves. Mosquitoes, attracted by heat and human odor, are drawn into the tubes and killed. Targeted indoor residual spraying (IRS) is a potential alternative to mass IRS.
