For patients who undergo mechanical thrombectomy (MT) for acute ischemic stroke, blood pressure (BP) control is a key aspect of postprocedure care. However, data are limited on the optimal BP for patients who achieve angiographic recanalization. These authors conducted a randomized trial involving patients who achieved good to excellent recanalization after MT for acute ischemic stroke. Eligible patients had documented large-vessel occlusion in either the internal carotid artery or middle cerebral artery.
