In observational studies, researchers have reported a modest association between fish consumption (≥2 servings/week) and decreased risk for cardiovascular disease (CVD), but it is not known whether the association differs between people with and without preexisting CVD. To evaluate this question, investigators analyzed data from four cohort studies, covering 191,558 individuals (mean age, 54; 48% men) and conducted in 58 countries worldwide.
