Standard chemotherapy for metastatic cholangiocarcinoma combines gemcitabine and cisplatin, but there is no standard second-line therapy. Recently, agents with molecular targets have shown promise, including pemigatinib and ivosidenib, with pemigatinib now approved for cholangiocarcinoma harboring FGFR gene fusion or rearrangement.
