Exercise programs can prevent falls among community-dwelling older adults, but older patients tend to prefer home-based programs (although adherence to these programs often is poor). Programs that require direct professional supervision are costly and difficult to deliver at scale. Digital technology potentially can be used to deliver exercise programs that are engaging, accessible, progressive, and relatively inexpensive; such technology also can be used to collect data on adherence and outcomes. But can such programs prevent falls?
