Solriamfetol (Sunosi) is a dopamine and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor that was approved in 2019 to manage residual excessive daytime sleepiness in patients treated for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). The manufacturer recently has ramped up a direct-to-consumer advertising campaign on television: The commercial shows a sleepy man who begins taking solriamfetol and becomes happy and energetic, strolling through an amusement park with his family.
