Global cases of COVID-19 respiratory illness caused by SARS-CoV-2 have surpassed 131 million, with more than 2.4 million deaths. A worldwide mass vaccination program to fight this virus started in 2020. Two brief communications now report a total of 11 cases of Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) after SARS-CoV-2 vaccination. Four were GBS variant and the other seven GBS.
Allen and colleagues report that the GBS variant occurred within 3 weeks after vaccination with the Oxford-Astra Zeneca (ChAdOx1-S/nCoV-19) SARS-CoV-2 vaccine.
