Most COVID-19 survivors report persistent symptoms after recovering from the infection's acute phase, but little is known about long-term prognosis. Investigators in Wuhan, China now report 1-year data from 1276 patients discharged after inpatient care for COVID-19 (median age, 59; 53% male). Follow-up at 6 and 12 months included physical examination, functional and laboratory tests, and quality-of-life assessment; a subgroup of 353 patients with pulmonary symptoms also underwent lung function evaluation and pulmonary imaging.
