The RESTART trial investigators previously reported that restarting antiplatelet therapy for survivors of intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) who were on antithrombotic therapy at the time of the ICH appeared to be safe (NEJM JW Neurol Aug 2019 and Lancet 2019; 393:2613). However, statistical power was limited as the trial failed to reach its original enrollment target and an increase in the period of planned follow-up failed to identify many additional outcome events. The RESTART collaboration now reports extended follow-up of participants in the original trial for another 2 years beyond the original period of up to 5 years, resulting in a median follow-up of 3 years in this analysis as opposed to a median of 2 years of follow-up in the origina…
