Many U.S. Cancer Centers Recommend Routine PSA Screening for Prostate Cancer

Guidelines from the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force, the American Cancer Society, and the American Urological Association recommend that clinicians engage men at average risk for prostate cancer in shared decision making about commencing PSA testing at age 50 or 55; additionally, guidelines generally recommend stopping at age 70 or in men with <10 years of life expectancy. In this cross-sectional study, researchers assessed prostate cancer screening recommendations of U.S. cancer centers.
