In the placebo-controlled MOVe-OUT trial, initial analysis found that early oral therapy with 800-mg molnupiravir twice daily for 5 days decreased risk for hospitalization or death (N Engl J Med 2022; 386:509). In a post hoc analysis, the investigators now report on the efficacy of molnupiravir as shown by laboratory studies conducted through day 29 after randomization, need for respiratory intervention (outpatient or inpatient), and, in those participants requiring hospitalization, time to discharge.
