Select ischemic stroke patients with large-vessel occlusion have been demonstrated to benefit from endovascular thrombectomy (EVT). Rates of successful recanalization with current devices is relatively high, ranging between 70% and 90%. However, the optimal in-hospital blood pressure (BP) after successful EVT is unclear. These investigators conducted a randomized trial at 44 centers in China to compare intensive BP control (target systolic BP <120 mm Hg) with less-intensive BP treatment (target systolic BP, 140–180 mm Hg).
