Although influenza vaccination may reduce the risks associated with cardiovascular events in patients with underlying cardiovascular disease (CVD), uptake of influenza vaccination in this group is inconsistent. In the NUDGE-FLU trial (Nationwide Utilization of Danish Government Electronic Letter System for Increasing Influenza Vaccine Uptake), Modin et al. examined whether the Danish mandatory electronic letter system (i.e., behavioral nudges) could increase influenza vaccination rates in people aged >65.
