Modified vaccinia Ankara-Bavaria Nordic (MVA-BN) vaccine is licensed for smallpox prevention in adults, and despite a dearth of pediatric data, this vaccine was recommended for children as postexposure prophylaxis against mpox during the recent outbreak in England. Investigators there offered enrollment to children for postexposure receipt of MVA-BN. They collected data on the occurrence of mpox disease as well as vaccine-associated adverse events and immune responses.
