An association between chronic pain and cognitive decline has not been well established. In this study, researchers analyzed data from the Alzheimer's Disease (AD) Neuroimaging Initiative to assess whether chronic pain was associated with cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) biomarkers for neurodegeneration and neuroinflammation.
