Appropriate use of oral PrEP with TDF/FTC prevents HIV infection, but obstacles to wide use include low acceptance rates and resource limitations. In the PrEP Impact Trial (a prospective implementation study), investigators utilized the specialist health services (SHS) network throughout England to enroll persons designated at risk for HIV infection from October 2017 to July 2020; participants received daily or event-driven TDF/FTC. This analysis involved 21,356 persons enrolled before February 29, 2020. Most (95.5%) were men who have sex with men (MSM).
