Observational studies have indicated that two doses of 4CMenB meningitis B vaccine afford 40% protection against Neisseria gonorrhoeae infection. To test this further, Nikitin et al. developed a mathematical transmission model of gonorrhea in men who have sex with men (MSM). Two vaccination strategies were targeted:
