The incidence of cannabis hyperemesis syndrome (CHS) — a subtype of cyclic vomiting syndrome that is associated with chronic, heavy cannabis use — has been rising in the U.S. People with CHS often engage in compulsive prolonged hot bathing to relieve symptoms. CHS has not been studied well, so the AGA commissioned this clinical practice guide to help clinicians diagnose and manage CHS based on current best evidence and expert recommendations.
