Background

Many clinicians who care for people with HIV (PWH) provide primary care in addition to prescribing antiretroviral therapy (ART). The HIVMA/IDSA Primary Care Guidance, last published in 2020, has been a resource for these clinicians. Now, this comprehensive guidance has been updated. Many changes have been made since the last version; highlights are summarized below.
