These comprehensive guidelines replace those published in 2023 and include new recommendations for infant feeding, HIV diagnosis, testing schedules, and antiretroviral management of infants with HIV exposure and infection. The document includes recommendations for initial laboratory monitoring of pediatric HIV infection as well as guidance on when to initiate antiretroviral therapy (ART).
