An overview of the 2026 ACC/AHA/AACVPR/ABC/ACPM/ADA/AGS/APhA/ASPC/NLA/PCNA Guideline on the Management of Dyslipidemia
For the first time since 2018, the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association have released an updated guideline on lipid management and the prevention of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD). The new guideline reframes lipid management as a lifelong strategy, moving beyond traditional 10-year ASCVD risk estimation to an emphasis on lifetime risk, cumulative LDL cholesterol exposure, and subclinical atherosclerosis.
