In a 2019 randomized trial conducted in Spain, researchers found that taking antihypertensive medications in the evening rather than the morning significantly lowered the incidence of major adverse cardiovascular events (NEJM JW Gen Med Jan 15 2020 and Eur Heart J 2020; 41:4565).
