When and how we measure blood pressure (BP) matters, and medical society guidelines recommend specific steps for proper measurements (see ). However, implementing these steps can take approximately 10 minutes, which is often impractical in busy outpatient settings. When pressed for time, what should be prioritized? In two recent reviews, researchers examined the evidence supporting the guidelines, seeking to inform a streamlined process for BP measurement that balances efficiency and accuracy.
