Many HIV-infected individuals on antiretroviral therapy (ART) are now living long enough to experience age-related health problems (JW AIDS Clin Care Nov 14 2011). Controlling these conditions simultaneously is a challenge and requires strict adherence to multiple treatment regimens. In the present study, researchers hypothesized that patients with better control of their HIV infection would also have better control of their hypertension or diabetes.
