An Earlier Role for ¹⁷⁷Lu-PSMA-617 in Metastatic Prostate Cancer?

Despite significant therapeutic advances, metastatic androgen pathway modulator–sensitive (APMS) prostate cancer* remains incurable, eventually progressing to APMR (resistant) disease. Previous studies have shown positive outcomes with the radioligand therapy ¹⁷⁷Lu-PSMA-617 in patients with metastatic APMR prostate cancer, improving overall survival in those previously treated with an androgen receptor pathway inhibitor (ARPI) plus docetaxel — and radiographic progression-free survival in those treated with an ARPI alone.
