Given recent controversies about testosterone supplementation in older men (Journal Watch Dec 28 2006), pinning down relationships between testosterone levels and clinical symptoms is important. In this report from the population-based Massachusetts Male Aging Study, researchers measured testosterone and gonadotropin levels in 625 randomly selected men (aged 55 to 85) and correlated results with self-reported erectile function.
